Every so often, Sabine looks for a passion project – a photography or video project that is not commissioned by a client.

At the core of these projects is a personal challenge inherent with revisiting the same subject, location and people over a longer period of time.

While this repetition and slower pace provides more time to observe and uncover the true underlying story, the extra challenge is to capture images in different and unique ways, and to tell a deeper story.

About the exhibition

Sabine’s latest passion project was to follow renowned vintners Brown Hill Estate for a year, but she went far beyond just the steps and the seasons of making wine in Margaret River.

Perseverance celebrates the raw beauty of winemaking through a breathtaking outdoor exhibition of colour images set in stunning light pods overlooking the vines, with an indoor collection of black & white images hanging inside the cellar door and barrel room.

It is the story of a family’s passion, dedication, and connection to nature, as seen by one of the best documentary style photographers in Australia.

November 16 to 26, 10 am to 8 pm daily.

Artist and winemaker talks scheduled most evenings at 6 pm.
